Irene McGarrity

A mid-career librarian who has also been a food service worker, an adjunct, a writing center tutor, a coordinator of first year writing, and a tenured faculty member, Irene has a deep familiarity with the urgency/burnout cycle. Those experiences, coupled with her lifelong study of human beings and psychology, led to the development of this workshop.

Irene is passionate about infusing authenticity, compassion, and humor in the workplace, while subverting perfectionism, workaholism, and ableism.

Erin Hasley

After several decades of meaningful but high-stress work designing book covers in the “always on” world of Academic and Trade publishing, Erin is enjoying a change of pace. Her current work ethic cycles between focused productivity and intentional stillness. She is passionate about helping others recognize patterns of overwork and finding alternatives.

Erin’s areas of interest in the workplace include: creativity, collaboration, empathy, clear and respectful communication, and trusting one’s informed intuition.
