Our Approach

We offer a variety of workshops and coaching packages to help individuals and organizations discern urgency from productivity. We address topics of urgency and burnout and explore how they show up in the workplace, particularly within academic institutions and other high-pressure settings. We unpack different types of urgency and the cultural contexts that exacerbate them. Participants learn to deconstruct common workplace situations, create strategies to set appropriate and effective boundaries, and clarify their work responsibilities and priorities.

Participants leave our workshops empowered to de-escalate their work lives and (re)claim professional agency and inspiration.

Constant urgency at work isn’t just stressful— it drains morale, harms mental health, and degrades the quality of our work.

When emails and Slack messages are constant and overwhelming, and turnaround time is non-existent, work becomes performative, and thoughtful decision-making disappears.

This pressure isn't felt equally.

Unchecked workplace urgency often reinforces workplace hierarchies, demanding the most from staff with the fewest resources and exacerbating existing inequities.

Irene McGarrity and Erin Hasley help teams identify where unhealthy urgency originates—whether from leadership, peers, or self/internal pressure.

Together, your team will gain validation, explore practical strategies to set boundaries, and learn how to build a grounded, sustainable work culture without compromising productivity.
